Let’s be honest…Dolly Parton is Nashville. She’s kind, smart, talented, and from the South…and she embodies country music glam better than anybody. So when she announced the opening of her very own bar, White Limozeen, there was no excuse not to book at plane ticket to Nashville to check it out. Seriously, there’s no better place to document your Music City girls trip than with photos from one of the most iconic rooftop bars in the city!

When my photographer, Kelsey, and I decided we were going to Nashville, coming to White Limozeen was one of the first things I put on my list. I knew that we’d not only be able to get a lot of awesome shots here, but that we would both love taking in the aesthetics of the inside as well as the outside rooftop bar. Oh…and the cocktails. You can’t forget the cocktails!

Despite growing up in West Virginia, country isn’t my usual aesthetic…but nothing will make me grab my (sparkly) cowboy boots faster than hearing Dolly Parton has her own bar in Music City. White Limozeen is the perfect spot for bachelorette parties, girls nights, birthdays, or anything that you’d want to document with really, really good photos. The colors, furniture, and attention to detail make for flawless backdrops and props.

With all the aesthetic inspo, I knew I had to make a post about the perfect snapshots and angles you can capture in this photo-worthy bar. The last thing I’d ever want to do is not leave my readers feeling inspired, so keep scrolling – or, click this link to jump to the best photo spots in White Limozeen

Hotel recommendation

The Graduate Nashville

The only thing better than visiting White Limozeen in Nashville is staying at The Graduate Hotel, where White Limozeen is located. Click the link for your favorite hotel-booking platform to book.

What to Wear to White Limozeen

You know my answer here is going to be pink, or glitter (or better yet, pink glitter! Why limit yourself?). I opted to go with a pink floral dress and white boots with sparkly fringe. Despite the background having so much pink, it all managed to coordinate. If you wanted to “pop” a little bit more, you could do white to contrast against all the colors, or even a pale yellow to bring out the gold accents in the room.

One thing I love about Nashville is there’s no such thing as being too “extra.” You can wear head to toe sparkles, have fringe on everything, throw a neon wig on…the opportunities are endless. I saw a little bit of everything when I was there, and I loved the creativity!

A Bar of Many Colors – Entering White Limozeen

White Limozeen is located on the 12th floor inside The Graduate Hotel in Nashville. When you first get to to the elevators on the bottom floor, you’re greeted by a neon sign and some abstract paintings of Dolly herself.

Once the elevator doors open, you’re greeted by a pink aesthetic that could just as easily belong to Barbie or Elle Woods. The photo opportunities are endless. I remember thinking this bar was beautiful in photos, but it was nothing like seeing it in person. The pink walls, the glittering round light fixtures, the chairs of all different patterns and textures…it’s so extra in the most incredibly flawless way. As a little girl, I had a pink Barbie dream house that I was obsessed with, and this was the grown-up, real-life version. Well…I mean…this is the adult bar version, but whatever.

When you come in, the entrance is on the left side of this photo around the far side of the circular bar, but this was the best angle to capture White Limozeen in its entirety!

  • Pro Tip: The circular bar is another great place for a photo op, but it’s normally packed. If you are staying at The Graduate, your best bet is to get here at 10:00am when White Limozeen opens to snap a few shots with nobody in the background.

The Best Instagram Photo Spots in White Limozeen

Now that your mind has been blown by all the pink, glamour, and femininity, where do you even start?! The photo opportunities are endless…but don’t worry. I’m going to highlight all the best spots to grab your perfect shot!

  • Pro Tip: You are NOT allowed to use a professional camera inside White Limozeen without prior permission from staff

The Pink Chaise Lounge Furniture

This area was the first thing that captured my attention as a great photo spot. They really nailed the placement setup because it’s tucked away in the corner, meaning nobody will be in your background. Plus, it’s large enough that you can pile all your friends onto it, yet also doesn’t look odd if you’re the only one in the photo.

The green plants surrounding it add a pop of color, and the windows let so much natural light in. The finishing touch: you can see the city in the background!

Velvet Chairs + Floor-To-Ceiling Windows

While you’re near the pink chaise lounge, take advantage of all the natural lighting. These purple velvet chairs and the bright green plants that you’re still able to capture in the photo add a great pop of color. Plus, you get the pink accents of the bar in the background.

  • Pro Tip: For the best photos, get here when you still have daylight. I have visited White Limozeen at night, and my photos did not turn out because the lighting in the restaurant isn’t good for pictures once it gets dark.

Use the Food & Drinks as a Prop

Are you even surprised that even the food is cute? We tried the charcuterie board, sparkling rosé, and a cocktail…all of which proved to be very Instagrammable…

Depending on the time of day you’re here, where you’re sitting, and where the lighting is, you can get some pretty artsy-looking photos with your meal! Normally, you want your subject to be facing the light, but since the lighting was behind me, we used this opportunity to give the culinary team their time to shine.

Take Advantage of the Rooftop Views

The rooftop of White Limozeen is home to pink cabanas, a patio, and the Governors Pool. It’s worth mentioning that the pool requires a separate reservation, even for guests of The Graduate. When I checked, it was booked up for months!

IMO, the inside of White Limozeen is prettier than the outside cabana, but you can still capture some great shots here, especially with the city in the background. But first, take advantage of the bright colored umbrellas, white furniture, greenery, and allll the natural lighting!

The Nashville City Skyline

Nashville’s skyline is visible from White Limozeen, giving you your country-girl-in-the-big city moment. You can get just the city in the background, or angle your photo to capture the “Graduate Nashville” sign.

And Finally…Grab a Photo with Dolly

You didn’t expect us to leave White Limozeen without a photo with the queen herself, did you? In the back left corner of the patio, there is this massive Dolly statue made out of…well, I really don’t know. But regardless, she’s practically a member of your bachelorette party, girls trip, or vacation now, right? Dolly deserves all of the things, but she especially deserves to be in one of your photos!
