What is the Go City Pass?
Simply put, Go City Passes allow you to book multiple attractions in the city of your choice at discounted prices. The more you book, the more you save. Plus, all the passes link to the Go City app on your phone, making it easy to have everything in one place.
At the time of this post, the Madrid Pass includes more than 25 attractions consisting of world-class palaces & museums, day trips, food tours, walking tours, and more.
The Madrid Pass – Pass Options
The Explorer Pass
You have 2 pass options when downloading the Madrid Pass. The first option is the Explorer Pass. This pass is best for those of you who know exactly what you want to do and are a little pickier about your itinerary. It gives you the choice between booking anywhere from 3 to 7 attractions, and then gives you 30 days to use the pass.
The All-Inclusive Pass
The second option is the All-Inclusive Pass, which is the pass that I chose. This option allows you to book the pass for a set number of days (1-5), and then see as many attractions as you want within that time frame. Some of the attractions require you to make a reservation, but this will always be highlighted whenever you book.

Pro Tips for Choosing Your Pass
- It is important to know that a smaller number of attractions are only available through the Explorer Pass, whereas ALL attractions are available through the All Inclusive Pass. You can see which attractions come with which pass before you purchase them.
- If you go with the All-Inclusive Pass, the pass becomes valid on the first day of use and must be used within consecutive calendar days. So for example, if you purchased a 2-day All-Inclusive Pass and used it for the first time today, it would only be valid today and tomorrow for use.

Tips for Using the Madrid Pass
After you decide which Madrid Pass option you would like to download and purchase, you will get an email that allows you to sync the app to your phone. You will get a QR code that shows the type of pass you purchased, your pass number, order number, expiration date, and purse value. Whenever you arrive in Madrid and are ready to use your pass, you’ll simply show the QR code to the tour guide, museum staff, etc. for them to scan.
Another thing I love about this app is that you can go through and “favorite” tours and attractions that you would like to book by clicking the heart icon on the photos. There is also a “View Map” option which shows you the locations of all the attractions that are offered, so you get a rough idea of where everything is located and how to manage your time.
When you click on the photo of the attraction or tour you would like to book, it gives you a detailed description along with opening times, last admission, plus anything extra you need to know before you arrive. Tours will tell you the meeting place along with the start time and the duration of the tour. Often times, the address of the meeting place will also be listed.
