The Aesthetics

“I think everything in life is art. What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.”

The Aesthetics – Travel Photography

“How do you take your own photos as a solo traveler?”“What are the best Instagram spots in _____ city?”“How do you know how to pose for photos?”

I am SO excited to announce that I am in the process of creating a category called Travel Photography where I answer all of these questions and more! Although I am by no means a professional photographer, I have learned a lot throughout my years of traveling and photographing different cities, and also taking my own vacation photos when no one else was around.

FWIW: All of my travel photos are taken on an iPhone. I do NOT own a professional camera.

Aesthetic” is my favorite word in the English language. I believe the aesthetic of a place can be presented in many ways, whether it’s through architecture, food, fashion, or the overall landscape.

The Aesthetics: Restaurants, Bars, & Coffee Shops

This section highlights some of my favorite bars and restaurants throughout the world that have incredible food & drink but also a stunningly beautiful atmosphere/aesthetic.

The photos are grouped by aesthetic and ordered alphabetically by city. The name of the bar or restaurant will be placed in the caption, along with the city & state (or country).

The Aesthetics: Hotels

I’ll Confess: I LOVE Exploring Hotels!

Choosing which hotel I’m going to stay at is one of my favorite parts of traveling. My readers often ask me about hotel recommendations, and I love telling them about all of the fascinating places that I have visited and stayed!

This section highlights some of my favorite hotels around the world. Some of the photos are of the rooms, others highlight the hotel’s restaurant or bar, and others showcase the exterior.
