Travel Photography
To me, the best souvenirs from traveling are memories, and the second best are photos. But…photos are also memories…so by default, that makes them the best. Right?…Right.
This section of my website is for anyone who has to have *THE* PERFECT VACATION PHOTOS. To those of you who understand why I wrote that in all caps, you are my people, and you’re in the right place. This page of my website lists all my favorite photography-inspired blog posts. There are posts about the most photo-worthy spots in various cities, along with others about taking photos in a specific aesthetic location.

Whenever I decided I wanted to start a blog, I called up my friend Kelsey, a professional photographer from my hometown, and asked if she would come take photos of me all over New York City that I could use for my website. (I had no idea if my blog would ever be successful, but I knew that if I was going to do this, I was going all in. Even if I crashed and burned, I could at least say I gave it my all…right?)
Long story short, Kelsey said yes, and here we are, 2+ years later! You can see her work all over this website, but especially in the New York City and Nashville posts listed below.
I love placing a lot of emphasis on photography when I travel because I feel like images, along with words, are what really inspires people to go visit places. I also take a lot of photos of myself, because it allows my readers to more closely imagine themselves in my shoes. In many ways, I tell my travel stories through my words AND photographs. Lastly, photography allows me to tie in my love for fashion and personal style – two elements that I always bring with me – and really showcase my creativity.

Taking Your Own Photos as a
Solo Traveler
Of course, I can’t bring Kelsey with me everywhere I go, as much as I wish I could. That’s why there are a few posts in here about the most photo-worthy places in a city where I took all the photos myself using this tripod. Check out this post about the most Instagrammable places in Sedona as one example.
